Soundcloud.com/SunZuluAbout Sun Zulu: Life is a journey of continual transformation - a changing in appearance, form, structure, character and beliefs for better or worse. Only sheer will manifests a lasting monument to time known as redemption. Through cloudy porch stoop cyphers at 6 a.m Sun Zulu believes he has found redemption in the transit of life.
The Baltimore-bred lyricist is in control of that transit behind a microphone. Born September 10, 1989, Sun was influenced by his family’s vast music collection. He credits his brother, DJ Bishop, for introducing him specifically to Hip Hop, “My first memory is of being in diapers listening to my brother play C.R.E.A.M. on his turntables. My childhood memories consist of Saturday morning cartoons, video games, NaS, Mobb Deep & Wu.” Sun met with tragedy early in life, however, when an accident left a huge gash on his forehead. That experience, followed immediately with the loss of several close family members, gave birth to Sun’s “do or die” mentality. Sun Zulu is rising through the world of Hip Hop all while on his own personal redemption in the transit of life.
