About Capitale: Capitale is one of a handful of lounges to pop up over the course of K Street’s urban facelift in the past decade. With an emphasis on bottle service and table reservations but extra room for casual partiers to get their groove on, kstreet provides a spot for dancing, drinking, and socializing.

Traditionally a luxury playground for a late 20s, early 30s crowd of lawyers and lobbyists, Capitale is starting to expand its clientele by appealing to a younger crowd. While the “who’s who” of DC are a common sight at this venue – sporting Gucci and dropping off their exotic foreign cars at the lounge’s valet parking (complimentary with table reservation) – throngs of mid-early 20s professionals sporting Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger are helping pack the small but popping dance floor.

When you get too sweaty from dancing up a storm, kick back at your table or post up on the bar and soak in the lounge’s 14 plasma TVs, a high-end projection screen, and 20 LCD monitors with customizable content. kstreet is equipped for some serious audio-visual entertainment action.

After cooling off, perhaps give yourself a look in a mirror to make sure your hair gel or makeup isn’t running: the lounge’s minimalist, futuristic-looking white-on-white color scheme keeps the venue relatively illuminated. Although a great place to be “seen,” it doesn’t really offer the intimate privacy of a dark corner.
