About Event: Rosebar went up this past Saturday for Born I Music’s single release party. The crowd went crazy for his smash hit “Supreme Mathematics” which now has well over 100,000 views on Soundcloud. Sparklers and bottles popped, hips gyrated and DJ Schemes rocked the house per his usual style with a unique mix of the dopest new hip hop and reggae. I stand by my original statement “It’s not a party without DJ Schemes”. Just as the typical Rosebar Saturday night developed from an average turn up to a full on frenzy who but the Uptown Cherry Bomb herself, Pinky Killacorn made an entrance with an entourage of cuties ready to spread that little bit of sunshine she carries with her everywhere she goes. Needless to say tequila bottles were dry and laughter was abundant. There was even talk of an upcoming song collaboration between the Hip Hop Weekly proclaimed best unsigned female emcee Pinky Killacorn and Vibe magazine highlighted Born I Music. You can believe no matter what happens in that studio session the product will be edgy and heavy with lyrical prowess. Both artists give the people intelligent content spit craftily over ill production and beats you can’t help but dance to. Stay tuned for 2015. I’ve had the pleasure of previewing some of the upcoming projects from DJ Schemes, Pinky Killacorn and Born I Music and Spoiler Alert; all the new tracks and mixes I’ve heard so far are bananas!
